EB Games trade-in pricelist?
You are here.
Does anyone know if an online database exists so I won't have to call in?
XBL/PSN/STEAM iPhone (Game Center): swatr2.
Brand new game-10 bucks.
Old game 5 bucks.
That should sum it up!
Pro is five years old. Karmajay has won it thrice, including back-to-back as of today. Does that qualify as a dynasty? -- Grumpicus.
Don''t forget the price paid by your olfactory nerves after you walk by the smelly teenagers dressed in black!
I never minded piracy. Anyone who minds about piracy is full of sh*t. Anyone who pirates your game wasn't going to buy it anyway! - Warren Spector.
GWJFFL Pro 2010 Champion.
Is this for PC games as well as consoles?
Mercury's been in retrograde most of the week. It's like a full moon with a side of kicked-in-the-nuts. -- H. P. Lovesauce.
There is no list. The prices change everyday so it would be next to impossible.
Original Sega Game system in mint condition -- 50 cents.
Five bucks for a old game?! At EB Games? What state do you live in? The state of DENIAL I am thinking. I took them four Xbox games and they wanted to give me 8 bucks for ALL of them.
I don''t see why their database couldn''t be linked to the web in real-time. But I guess that is asking too much..

Yep, prices are all over the board at my EB depending on the platform, the game, and the age.
Sometimes they are way out to lunch but I was suprised when I called for trade-in values today. These prices are in CDN by the way:
MechAssault 2 - $38.
Ghost Recon Island Thunder - $7 (ouch!!)
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow - $27.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - $20-25.
Advance Wars 2 - $14.

Personally, I''ve found GameRush''s trade in deals to be far superior to EB or pretty much anyone else in my area. Especially when they''re running extra promotions on top of regular trade-in value (which is often).

Gamestop keeps an online trade-in site at Tradestop. The prices should be reasonably close to that at EBGames.
Also, EBGames keeps a list of their current trade-in promotions here. You can sometimes get a really good deal trading in several games at the same time - I traded in five old XBox games and got the just-released Burnout 3 free plus a $10 rebate after they tossed in an extra $25 trade-in credit.
Hmm.. thanks for the tips Tomato.. I almost forgot about the EB promotions. Having the Gamestop list will be good.
XBL/PSN/STEAM iPhone (Game Center): swatr2.
I''d definitely go to a GameRush if I were you, Swat. You get much better trade in values. at least in my experience.
Canada sucks for games stores, besides the Mom-N-Pop and Big Box stores, all we have is EB.
XBL/PSN/STEAM iPhone (Game Center): swatr2.
Gamerush is at Blockbuster Swat, thought you guys had those up there?
Weird, I have bought a few used games there but there''s no ""Gamerush"" section.. we''re so behind!

Man I would never trade in any games at EB or Gamestop. I always use Ebay. Say I''ve had a 49.99 game for 2-3 months I can usually sell it for $30-40 on ebay at any time. I''ve been selling games on Ebay for a long time and I''ve pretty much never had anything sell for less than 50% of its original value. If you don''t like Ebay try Half, its a little easier to sell but you won''t get as much money usually.
I posted a similar question back in Dec, followed everybody''s advice and traded in 3 games at Gamerush for a total of $36.00 credit.
Funny thing is, I still have the credit (will pick kotor2 eventually). EQ2 just keeps eating all my game time.
If MMOS ever become truly mainstream, you can kiss the game industry as we know it good bye.
Posting on the boards is easy. The trick is to kick someone's ass the first day, or become someone's bitch. Chiggie Von Richthofen on how to transition from lurker to poster.
What mark equals mainstream? One million copies? Five million? I bet if you add up all the MMOG subscribers, you get at least a couple million, not even counting Asia.

500,000 copies or more is a ""greatest hit"" title for all of the console developers. MMPs are are the verge of being ""mainstream"" but they aren''t the niche that they once were.

Another $120 towards the PSP trading in games I probably won''t play again = priceless.
I used to be a packrat when it came to games, but then I realized I have way too many as it is, so getting rid of some of the B-List before they hit rock bottom prices isn''t a bad option.
Then when I get all nostalgic, I can pick them out of the used bin again for $5.

I''ve never once received less than $7 for a game. I even got $7 for an old copy of Madden last year, and we all know how much they love seeing copies of that come back in.
My personal record was getting $40 back for Splinter Cell shortly after I beat it. I got $30 for GTA3 more than a year after it''s release, $35 for Ninja Gaiden after at least 6 months, and quite a few others where I received at least $30 for them.
There were other situations where I got a game for $10 originally, and then traded it in for $20 at EB after beating it. I''ve never had bad experiences with EB trade-in values.

Brand-new trade in: $10.
Losing All Dignity: NOT WORTH IT.
But we are gamers, we have no dignity.
No seriously, the old ""trade-in"" vs ""E-Bay"" debate. Essentially you are trading money for time. Is it worth it for you to:
#1. List the item on E-bay.
#3. Pack up the item.
#4. Go to the post office.
#5. Get money transferred from paypal.
#6. Go to the store to get game.
Or you can just go to the store, get raped on the value of the product, but save yourself the time. You choose but they both come out even in the end for me.
"Nation, I've always said that rainbows are just God's way of frowning at gay people." Stephen Colbert.
I hear you Mayfield. I had advertised in the local classifieds, but I realized that the amount people were willing to pay wasn''t much more than what I''d get at EB. Sure it would be cash in hand, but I don''t mind EB credit as I know it will get used.
Plus I would have to arrange with about 5 individuals to meet, swap cash/game - they could flake and back out, etc, etc.
My general rule when I buy and sell is: if I buy it used, I expect to pay half the price. If I sell it used, I return the favor and half the price.
I get so many wicked game deals that I don''t mind ""eating"" the cost every now and then.
Point in case: I got a special promotion Xbox Live holiday pack, which included 12 months, headset, Splinter Cell PT and Ghost Recon IT. I traded in those two games for $25, making the total price of my kit $49 - much lower than the $99 retail.

Gamestop and Eb Games Trade In Value.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Yes, gamestop and EB games knows. You should call them and find out.
Sorry if that sounds mean, but why would you expect people on a forum to know the ever changing prices for a list like that? Best to call and hear it right from the horses mouth.
1 dollar for everything. Then they'll sell it for 300. Threesixtyci.
Wow. you're a bit untrusting towards a great game sales company aren't you? Must have some crappy storesthere because all the ones here in Missouri are great.

Agreed. Also, the sales reps will know about upcoming promos that may help you get more trade-in value. If the games are recent purchases also, check out the Gamestop website, as they will have some trade-in prices online for you to check out.
not much especially for the older games you have on your list.
the xbox and PS2 games you may get a dollar each.
the gamecube/ wii/ ds game depends on title . mario games usually at around 10+
the PSP games you may get $1 -$5 credit.
you can check here to see if they have any trade - in deals but really the best way to know is to call them and know that their prices change daily.
* FYI just know Gamestop/Eb games really dont have your best interest in mind. They will take your stuff (for a $1) and then mark up the price to maybe 3x or more what they gave you (sale it used for $10). That's why there are many people who dislike Gamestop/Eb games but they do have their good points so you can take it or leave it just know what you are getting into before hand.

Gamestop/EB isn't any different from other places that accept trade-ins, such as FYE. FYE actually charges more and give you about the same price in trade-ins.
call them - but really - some of those newer gaMES are better off on ebay - the old games they really will only give you a dollar.

never shopped at fye thanks for the info.
I want to sell my X box.
how much will i get for selling these things.
2 XBox controller.
muchassault 2 LoneWolf.
MidNight Clube 3.
Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter.
Starwars BattleFront 2.
Star wars clone wars.
Spyhunter nowhere to run.
Pokemon Dunguon rescue team blue(DS)
Naruto ninja capsil 2(DS)
just take that stuff to gamestop and have them price it, and if you think your getting ripped then don't sell it. another thing you can do is, go on gamestop, look at the used price for that game or system, then take 40 percent of that used price, and thats about how much youll get for it.
Only thing i know the "value" of is the Gamecube. it will net you a wopping 12 bucks :P you actually get more for Pokemon Colliseum than the system itself!
I understand the whole e-bay thing will more than likely net you more cash, but when I periodically go through my collection and root out all the crap games or ones i have beaten 10000 times I really dont care too much what i get for them. All they are doing is collecting dust at my place. I think my last trade ins totaled to 130 dollars. including the aforementioned Gamecube and my PSP (the fat one). Just 50 bucks more and I have a shiny new PSP slim. (yes im just getting the piano black basic kit. I have plenty of games already i dont need starwars, and the paint on the daxter one chips off.)
not enough for red psp.
Take out all the last gen things. MY local Gamestops won't even buy any of them. Thier Gamecube section is completely gone and they won't buy anything last gen anymore. Plus even if they do buy the gmae the most you will ever get for a game is like $30 or if your really really lucky $40. I sell my games at a local mom and pop type of store. They give me alot better buying prices.
